Your First Visit
We schedule each appointment to give individual attention to the dental care of our patients. Our team is dedicated to providing quality, comfortable treatment. In case of a dental emergency, we will schedule you as soon as possible to diagnose and treat your pain as quickly as possible.
We respect that your time is valuable and do our best not to keep you waiting. Similarly, we ask that if you are unable to keep your appointment that you try your best to advise us 48 hours in advance so that other patients waiting for care may be served.
Please bring the following information with you to your first appointment:
- Any x-rays taken by previous dentist
- A list of medications you are currently taking
- Any premedication directed by your medical doctor
- Your insurance card (if you have insurance)
- A photo ID
What to Expect
All new patients who visit Gentle Dental Care will receive a complete oral exam, including full mouth x-rays, to evaluate the health of your mouth. A complete oral cancer screening will be done to check for any lesions, swelling, or color changes which may indicate a problem area.
Your initial consultation includes:
- Full Mouth X-Rays
- Oral Cancer Screening
- Dental health examination and explanation
- Time with your team to discuss:
- Your treatment plan options
- Your current oral health status
Additionally, please read and review the Notice of Privacy Practices, which informs you of your rights and our responsibilities regarding your personal health information.
We believe dental care should be as accessible as possible for our patients. Therefore, we make every effort to provide you with several convenient payment options. Give us a call if you have questions or would like to learn more about payment options.
We are pleased to accept most major dental insurance providers. We work with both in-network and out-of-network plans, and, regardless of which you have, we strive to make the process as stress-free as possible. Even if we’re not in your network, we’ll look into your benefits to make sure you’re getting the most out of your coverage. Please call our office if you have any questions about insurance.
